Calls for a Ban on Crude Oil Transport

Time Warner Cable News | July 6, 2015 | Capital Tonight Interview

Monday marked the second anniversary of the Bakken crude oil train that derailed and exploded in Canada, killing 47 people. Bakken crude oil of course travels through and is stored at the Port of Albany. Last year, Governor Cuomo sent a letter to President Obama calling for more federal safety guidelines. But protestors Monday afternoon stood outside the governor's mansion, saying crude oil should not enter the area at all. Sandy Steubing of PAUSE - People of Albany United for Safe Energy - joined us to talk more about this.
