It happened around 11 a.m. near Kenmore and Sheridan Drive. All of the cars the engine was pulling were empty and no one was injured in the derailment.

CSX officials say ice and snow caused the rear wheels of the locomotive to come off the track and a single, empty tanker behind the engine also toppled.

There were no leaks or spills, or any danger to the public.

The final car of the train was left blocking the roadway and cones were set up to steer traffic around it.

CSX crews are in the process of re-railing the engine and tanker, which should wrap up around 4:30 p.m.

Once re-railed, the train will be on its way.
