ALBANY >> A quiet protest took place Wednesday in front of Albany City Hall to object to the continued presence of explosive crude oil trains in Albany. The organization, PAUSE (People of Albany United for Safe Energy) was joined by peace demonstrators. According to PAUSE, this past winter there were four explosive derailments, and nine crude oil explosions since July of 2013.

Why can’t government protect us from the very real danger of incineration created by this oil by rail? Isn’t that their job? The feds expect 10 derailments over the next year. If we have one here, many will die.
